PM SHRI schools, or PM Schools for Rising India, are a centrally sponsored initiative by the Government of India that aims to create a safe and stimulating learning environment for students. Some of the innovations at PM SHRI schools include:
Holistic learning
The schools focus on developing well-rounded individuals with 21st-century skills.
Experiential learning
The schools use play-based, inquiry-driven, and discussion-based methods.
Assessment
Assessments are based on conceptual understanding and how students apply knowledge to real-world situations.
Academic enrichment
The schools use group research, group work, portfolios, presentations, debates, quizzes, and more to engage students.
Individualized learning
The schools provide individualized learning for students with special needs or who are slow learners.
Mentorship
The schools provide leadership to other schools in their region through mentorship.
