    ABOUT PM SHRI SCHOOLS

PM SHRI Schools is a centrally sponsored scheme initiated by the Government of India. The primary objective of this scheme is to develop more than 14,500 PM SHRI Schools across the country. These schools are managed by various entities, including the Central Government, State/UT Governments, local bodies, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS).

The vision behind PM SHRI Schools is to create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment where every student feels welcomed, cared for, and provided with a safe and stimulating space for education. These schools aim to offer a wide range of learning experiences, ensuring good physical infrastructure and appropriate resources conducive to learning for all students.

The scheme aligns with the goals outlined in the National Education Policy 2020 and aims to nurture engaged, productive, and contributing citizens for an equitable and plural society. More than 20 lakh students are expected to be direct beneficiaries of this initiative, and the learning from these schools will inform policy, practice, and implementation across the country. PM SHRI Schools are envisioned to showcase the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020 and serve as exemplar schools over time.
